Demo Units

There are a few issues in arranging a demo,

Deposit
The customer must make a deposit for the full value of the item. If a credit card deposit is used, we refund the deposit less approx. 3 % upon return of the item in perfect condition. The 3 % is the fee the credit card companies charge us for the execution of a charge and a credit when we refund the money to your account. The exact fee is different from credit card company to credit card company. If you place your deposit via wire transfer, we wire the money back as soon as we get the item back in perfect condition less exactly that amount that our bank charges us to wire the money back to you. This amount is different from country to country and it differs also with the total amount. If you are outside the European Union, custom handling is necessary. The costs thereby incurred are approx. 150 Euros if the total value of the item is more than 1500 Euros. We handle demo units as temporary export only. This handling requires additional forms but it makes possible that you can return the units without additional custom forms and you can also keep it without problems, if you make up your mind and buy the item. Time
Demo units are limited to a total of 14 days in your hands. If you keep the unit longer, a daily rental fee will apply. Rental fees are credited against the sales price if the unit is purchased before the rental period is over. Rental fees are usually 3% of the price of the unit per day.

Shipping
You pay shipping both ways in advance, both to you and back to us. The shipping is charged in addition to other charges. The return shipping back to us is credited against the sales price if you elect to purchase the unit within the demo period.

All items are shipped UPS ground unless otherwise specified. You must return the unit to us carefully packed, exactly as it came to you, with all accessories included. Failure to return all manuals, cables, boxes and other parts will result in a charge against your deposit for the value of these items and the cost of returning the unit to 'as new' condition.

Damages
Cosmetic damage to demo units will result in a charge between 5 and 15 %, depending on the damage. All units are photographed before leaving adt-audio and all normal pre-existing cosmetic flaws and damages are noted.
